Current State

• The repo is active on the dev branch.
• The latest verified local and remote head is f0388abb.
• The application has backend, frontend, extractor apps, Phoenix/Arize evaluation, notebook, Service Bus emulator, and ad hoc operational docs.
• Infrastructure is managed in altaforge-infrastructure, not this repo.

Documentation State

• Canonical docs now start at docs/README.md.
• The historical project handoff remains in docs/status/README.md.
• Design notes remain in docs/design/.
• Script-specific operational procedures remain next to their scripts and are indexed through Runbooks.

Known Product/Repo Constraints

• Schema/extractor registry updates are still code-defined and require care because old entries can remain in the database.
• Backend extractor registration and deployed function-app infrastructure are separate and must both be updated for a new extractor.
• The BYOK LLM key design note is still marked draft in source.
• Some historical status material references external ADO/Google Docs and should be treated as handoff context, not the canonical current status.
